snack and lunch information

A healthy, organic, morning snack and lunch are provided each day. Most of our ingredients are purchased at The Realm Refillery (Portland's amazing waste-free grocery) or at the farmers market. Aside from an egg on Mondays, our snacks are 100% plant-based. Miss Jeanine loves to make big batches of rice, beans, etc in her instant pot so that we can have healthy meals that can also be prepared in advance. Snacks or lunch may be sent from home to accommodate individual preferences.

Homemade sourdough bread (we love to toast it with a variety of toppings)
Homemade smoothie (our smoothie flavor will rotate each day)
*on occasion we may bake muffins, sourdough bagels, or english muffins instead of bread
Lunch all lunches served with cow or plant milk
Monday: rice and black bean bowls with optional toppings (avocado, black olives, tomatoes, yumm sauce, salsa, etc) with a fresh fruit and fresh vegetable

Tuesday: pasta with optional sauces (we will try lots of different types of pasta!), edamame, fresh fruit, and a fresh vegetable

Wednesday: homemade Mexican rice and pinto beans, tortilla or tortilla chips, guacamole, fresh fruit, and a fresh vegetable

Thursday: homemade morning oats w/plant milk and optional toppings (seeds, granola, dried fruit, banana, nut butters, chocolate chips, etc), egg, fresh fruit, and fresh vegetable
